Our 2009 “Cape to Cape” MISSIONS PROGRAM UPDATE
“Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation”
(Mark 16:15)
Brother Jim Taylor has been asked by our eldership to direct our 2009 missions effort to Cape Town, South Africa. Jim has made two prior trips to Cape Town and has the expertise to assist our 2009 team with visa and passport information; practical preparation and a needful missions strategy. Jim and Tula communicate consistently with Don and Rita Boyd, who are now in Zambia. They will lead us a third time to the Cape Town mission’s field. Below are some important and timely data, which we as the Lord’s church in Cape Girardeau should consider:
A. The first meeting will be May 1st at 7 P.M. Meet at the church building in the New Fellowship Hall. This meeting is for anyone who would like to stay in touch with the missions program, and/or is interested in going abroad and has feasible skills and resources to see it through.
B. As a congregation, let’s remember the Taylor’s; the Cape to Cape missions team; the Boyd’s and the Davis’ to the Lord in prayer.
C. Due to the fact that passports need time to process, it is important that you attend this meeting, or let Jim know of your interest.

Mission Team Baptisms
Just a quick note to let you all know how very much we appreciate the good work done by the Tanners, Taylor’s and Ilene. They all worked hard with studies and just encouraging our brothers and sisters in Cape Town. We pray that they have all returned well and pleased with their endeavors. Because of their dedication 8 new souls have been added to the Kingdom.
Rita and I are home in Northwest Zambia and it is good to be back among the Kaonde people of Northwest Zambia.
Give our love to the congregation and let everyone know that we consider the Cape Church as our home. We would love to hear from anyone there. God bless you all.
Don & Rita
